Exciting changes are underway as the soundstage for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a fresh coat of paint! This repainting initiative is part of a broader transformation aimed at reimagining the Animation Courtyard, integrating it into the larger Walt Disney Studios experience.
Currently, the wall facing the entrance of the park has been updated to a splotchy beige hue. This is likely just the initial layer, with additional coats expected to provide a more refined finish. The new color choice harmonizes with the recently repainted side wall and the Disney Junior soundstage, which underwent their own makeover just a few months prior.
Previously, this wall was a uniform gray, similar to the two corner columns that also reside in the courtyard. In line with the new theme, these columns will be enhanced with a darker shade of beige, as depicted in the concept art provided.
It’s worth noting that while the majority of Animation Courtyard is currently closed off, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure continues to welcome guests throughout the renovation process. Excitingly, the rest of the courtyard is set to reopen this summer, introducing The Magic of Disney Animation. This new attraction will replace the former Star Wars: Launch Bay, along with the debut of the fresh Disney Junior Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show in the Disney Junior theater.
