In a recent court hearing, lawyers representing Ilyes Abdelkader and Mohamed Abdelkader revealed their clients' intention to plead guilty to charges of aggravated burglary and joint theft. The case involves a daring burglary of a Canberra home, where designer jewelry, handbags, and an incredibly valuable Richard Mille watch were among the items stolen.

Mohamed Abdelkader's lawyer, Raymond Zhai, emphasized, "It's definitely not close to that amount, and I think that's the issue that needs resolution."

While Ilyes and Mohamed Abdelkader's lawyers formally indicated their clients' guilty pleas, Mohamed Naimi's lawyer, Sam Bol Bol, suggested his client might plead not guilty. The court also highlighted the need for further translation, as the French men couldn't review the statement of facts.
